Course Description
Independent Study: Virtual Senior Showcase
A production lab course designed as an academic and creative culmination experience. The activities in the course are designed to assist students in the creation, development, and production of the Senior Showcase: an evening of monologues, scenes, songs and a research paper. The Class of 2021’s Senior Showcase was produced virtually due to COVID-19.
Adrienne Bridges
Adrienne Bridges is from Oxford, North Carolina. She has been performing in theatre since the fourth grade. She is a senior theatre major at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Her most notable role while in college is Denise in Breath, Boom. In the community she played Miss Lamama in Shakin the Mess Outta Misery.
Ciara Cain
When your life is a movie, it makes sense to want to be a star. 22-year-old, Ciara Cain, was born and raised in Columbia, SC. Growing up you could always find her writing stories, or making her family laugh by doing the “old lady walk”.
Terran Eaton
I do all of this for my father, Randolph Eaton II, my name is Terran Teejay Eaton and I always loved entertaining. Before acting I used to dance and seek to be the best dancer but my father saw more for me as I begin to imitate famous actors and comedians.
Brianna Gregory
I’m Brianna Nicole, I was born and raised in Winston Salem, NC. I have been performing since the 10th grade
Kirsten Grinage
I saw Dreamgirls and knew then that performing is what I wanted to do. Now we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves. Let’s start at the beginning. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 15, 1998, ready to take the world by storm.
Vanaya Henderson
Vanaya Nicole Henderson is an actor, singer, and performer from Durham, North Carolina. She got her start in the Justice Theater Project drama camps at the Emily K. Center in downtown Durham.
Savion Johnson
Saivon’s name stems from a story. His mother heard Savion Glover’s name on the car radio and thought it was the perfect name. Unfortunately, she did not know how to spell it and switched the “i” and the “v”. And thus, Saivon A. Johnson was born as well as the constant mispronunciations due to phonetics.
Evelin Kembe
In 1998, Emmanuel and Margaret Kembe were shifted to the United States as refugees from Ethiopia. The Sudanese, soon-to-be parents of three, found out they had conceived and produced a star living in the gentle comfort of the womb of her mother. After four months, they found out.
Raashad Candor
Hello, I am Tyler L. prefer to go by Raashad, Candor (ruh-shawd). I was born and raised in Red Springs NC, then moved to Fayetteville where I went to a community college to pursue theatre/film.
Nycole Mitchell
Nycole J. Mitchell was born and raised in Westchester, New York, with her parents and three brothers. In high school she was in the drama club, appearing in the yearly school plays and enjoyed playing varsity basketball and volleyball.
Anderlyn Smith
I stopped avoiding my acting dreams once I met Ms. Donna Bradby. It was during my sophomore year of college and once again, I was considering changing my major from Professional Theatre to something more “stable.”
Kailah Solomon-Sides
Lights. Camera. Action. Entertainment had always been Kailah’s specialty. She knew at a very young age she was destined for greatness. Kailah never saw the world how others saw it. She always saw the world through a camera lens. Kailah Conquering the World is the name of the movie, and she was the star of it.
Vicky Walters
Hello world! My name is Vicky Yvonne and I am a 22-year-old arts fanatic that found my passion in multiple fields of this beautiful industry. My first passion, that will always be my true love, is acting. From the young age of 11, I found my home onstage in Atlanta, Georgia and have relished every life I have had the opportunity to experience onstage ever since.
Amber White
Amber White, a native to the city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina who discovered her love for theatre when she attended West Forsyth High School. She excelled in singing, dancing, and acting throughout her high school career. Her first role as the Duchess in Alice in Wonderland solidified what she wanted to do for her life career.
Taylor Aidan Amari
Taylor Aidan Amari was born in Columbus, Georgia, bred in Fayetteville North Carolina. She is a third culture kid, having lived in South Korea for three consecutive years, and has always held a love for the arts.
Reginald Wright
I am Reginald Wright and I was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina. After one year my father wanted a better life for his family and a different, safer place of scenery so he packed us all up and moved us to Wake Forest, North Carolina. It was there, where I stayed my whole life, is where I developed a knack for entertaining and making everyone and anyone who was around him laugh their socks off.
