Ciara Cain

When your life is a movie, it makes sense to want to be a star.  22-year-old, Ciara Cain, was born and raised in Columbia, SC. Growing up you could always find her writing stories, or making her family laugh by doing the “old lady walk”. When an elementary school aged Ciara was asked the famous question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, she would reply “I just want to help people?”. One day that might have meant wanting to be a Doctor, the next it might have meant wanting to be a hair stylish. Now today, as an actress, it makes sense that she once wanted to be to tackle every career field possible, because in a very ironic way, she now can.

Ciara would not be herself without telling you that her anchor throughout life is God. As a woman of passion and purpose, she is so grateful that he is allowing her to mix the two. Everything Ciara has experienced in life has shaped the woman she has evolved into today and the woman she is to become. Though she has experienced many lows in her young life, there were also many highs.   She is grateful for all the experiences because realizing her purpose, made her realize that her whole life and everything she experienced was ordained.

Now taking all her experiences (and sometimes her friends and family’s too) she is on her way to being one of the greatest storytellers of her generation. Besides wanting to glorify God in everything she creates, just like Issa Rae, she is rooting for everybody black! To continuously create and produce content that shifts the negative narrative that African Americans and the black culture receives, while also providing a voice for her generation (Gen Z and millennials) that is so often overlooked, and opening doors for her compadres is all on her to-do list. Ciara plans to own the building, not just have a seat at the table.
