Kirsten Grinage
I saw Dreamgirls and knew then that performing is what I wanted to do. Now we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves. Let’s start at the beginning. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 15, 1998, ready to take the world by storm.
I am a marvel fanatic who has a giant Reese’s obsession that tries to stay honest and humble like her favorite superhero Captain America. I am goofy, sassy, quirky, and awkward in the best way.
My life’s motto is No matter the pressure or doubt, keep moving forward. I obtained this motto by going down a long road of self-discovery and self-love. In the end, I realized that everything happens for a reason, and you can’t have a testimony without the tests.
I have made it my life’s mission to share the gifts God has given me and use them to glorify him and make the world a better place for young black and brown children. This life mission is dedicated to my family, specifically my nieces, nephews, and little cousins.
My family is my rock. They continuously support my dreams and visions, while my North Carolina A&T family are constantly pushing me to be my best self, sometimes my best self is up at 3 am singing a bunch of old Disney hits.
Whether I am debating with my friends what show is the best on right now or reenacting the “It’s All Over” scene from Dreamgirls, I constantly do what I love.
Currently, I am podcasting. My podcast is entitled “Shit Kirsten Says,” where I get into the daily things that affect my life, let it be love, culture, entertainment, friendship, etc. I talk about things that matter to me and what I stand for. I am endlessly creating myself and ready to move to Atlanta to take on the Television and Film world and for what God has planned for me next.
